today was my learning journey, with the emphasis on JOURNEY. (this can be a pw topic man!)
first, almost everyone had to take one hour (or more) bus rides from conventional parts of the country to pian pi changi village.
then we ate lunch, laughed at the wash hand, and went off to take a ferry ride to pulau ubin!
then! when we reached there, we rented bicycles to cycle to chek jawa! along the way, we fed about a million mosquitoes. (how about i wore FBTs!?!?)
then we walked this trail thing, and fed another billion mosquitoes (blood donation, anyone?), and saw a few mudskippers and a few dunno-what crabs/lobsters, and attap chee trees! hahaha.
but we couldn't see anything in the water (sea?) because (yes i know -.-) it was high tide.
then we climbed the observation tower (: and took self-timer photos by tying our cameras to the railing, haha.
oh yes it rained a little in the middle and everything got muddy O_O and we all got splattered if we cycled through puddles. almost everyone's shirt/back/bag dieded. except for some Weird People, who miraculously remained really clean! hmmm.
then we cycled back, ferried back, and took another hour-plus long bus ride home.
i was originally supposed to be watching a gamelan concert now, but because i really really had to come home to bathe, i reached home around 630, bathed, then ate dinner around 7, so...... in the end i didn't go. the thing is at woodlands can!
so here ends an eventful(?) day.
-- i feel like i'm trying to hold on to a ...wriggling slimy thing trying to escape my grasp. i try really hard, but i just can't hold on. i don't want it like this, please.
